The style was what we sort and the fact that it was a slipcover that could be taken off and washed.

QUESTION: I'm looking for a more casual, beachy feel for a slipcovered sofa. Does this sofa have that I can't quite tell from the picture. Does the slipcover go all the way across the lower front without any pleating I want to be able to tell that it is indeed slipcovered. Can you see that Thanks! by None N 8/11/2011

ANSWER: We purchased this sofa set for our house in Maine almost 5 years ago. It has held up FANTASTICALLY even with two cats and a dog in the house.We are at the beach and it fits in with the casual beach cottage feel .We got the extra stuffed down and it makes the furniture so comfortable.We also purchased the sleep sofa in the combination and any extra guests have said it wasn't as uncomfortable as other matresses.
The cover does go all the way across the front and if you know what you are looking for you can tell that it is a slip cover.
I like the fact that we can change colors if needed. I think we have the Butter Twill at least it is yellow. and anticipate changing the wall colors this fall and may go for one of the stripes.
OH by the way we priced a set at a well known national retailer, that was almost twice the price and half the quality...

STAFF ANSWER: Yes, the Mason slipcovered sofa will give you the "beachy feel" that you desire. The slipcover is "tailor fit" to the frame, however, you'll be able to tell that it's slipcovered. The slipcover goes across the entire front of the sofa without any pleats. by Jeffrey K 8/11/2011
