Just want to tell you how splendid the delivery of this sofa was. The sofa itself, of course, is fabulous in every way. And the delivery guys were even better. How they managed to get that 40 foot truck turned around in my 30 foot parking area [on a hill, so it was steeply downhill on most all sides] is beyond me. Last week I received my loveseat on order to Dallas, Oregon. I want to write and let you know that I am completely satisfied. The craftsmanship and the quality of design is a thousand times more than I could get from any furniture store and yet the price was very competitive. The trucking company kept in touch all along the way and took great care in delivering the loveseat. It was well packaged and looks great in the formal library of my Victorian home. This is a piece that will last for more than the second 100 years of the estate. The main reason why I went with your company was because you did not skimp on the original leather sample you sent me. In fact you sent two more samples to make absolutely sure I liked the custom order. A competitor was only willing to send a sample the size of a dime and I could not tell anything about the quality. I purchased a pair of Janice sofas for a rental beach house. We tried them out for a week while completing the furnishings. They are terrific looking (definitely appropriate for adult entertaining) and super comfortable. The seat is deep, so shorter folks will appreciate a pillow behind them. I purchased a sofa, two chairs and one ottoman about 8 years ago. I wash the twill slipcovers in my washing machine and hang them on the line to dry on a nice clear day. They dry in one day and back on they go, crisp and clean and looking like new. The color is butter and has held up very well. I too wanted PB slipcovered furniture and was willing to "settle" for poor quality in order to get "the look." After the price, they added sales tax, delivery and some other lame tax of which I objected to. The sales woman said I was not comprehending the quality! I came to my senses in a flash and said that taxes and sales charges did not have a thing to do with quality in fact I was settling for a look and knew their product had no quality as I could push the furniture around with one hand. OK - I'll admit it... I am a huge fan of Pottery Barn. I had been wanting the PB Grand Slipcovered Sofa & Chair for some time. However, something told me to shop around before I plopped down close to $4k for my set. I purchased the Kyle sofa and loveseat with the toffee cut velvet fabric. It is so comfortable and well made. We love our leather club chair! We have 4 cats, a dog, and a baby and the distressed leather stands up well to scratches and scuffs. I only wish the seat cushion was firmer; maybe that's what happens with the down upgrade? If so, maybe you should advertise the difference. I was really surprised and pleased with the personal assistance we got too. We try to shop at small local stores as often as possible and though you aren't local, the excellent personal service bespoke of a small craftsman operation.
