Customer Questions
QUESTION: anyone washed it ? by praneeth K 3/9/2012
ANSWER: I have machine washed the covers for the slipcovered chaise with no issue. Maintains shape if replaced on the furniture while slightly damp. No fading, though ours is a light color. by N R 3/11/2012
ANSWER: Yes we have washed and dried a little hard to get back on put once its on it stretches out by B F 3/10/2012
ANSWER: I haven't washed it yet, but I just love this couch.
I've been know to take up to a year to decide on a new couch and this is the first I purchased without sitting and seeing in person. I was
just telling my husband last night that this is my favorite couch
of all the couches I've purchased, and in 28 years I believe this is #8. by Jean Z 3/9/2012
ANSWER: Several times. Washed on cold, delicate. Tumbled in dryer on AIR FLUFF only to remove lint, etc and air dried outside. Looks fabulous when I iron skirts. by S M 3/9/2012
ANSWER: yes, we have washed it several times. it shrinks up a bit, but with some effort it stretches back into place. by S E 3/9/2012
ANSWER: Yes, it was washed according to directions, looks great. It is also a rental house so it take a lot of wear and tear.... by S A 3/9/2012
QUESTION: Has anyone washed this in a washing machine How did it turn out? by None N 1/20/2012
ANSWER: No, not in washing machine. But the slipcovers were soaked in large buckets of oxyclean-water solution for a couple of days, rinsed well, hung up to dry out of direct sun. And now they are bright and good as new. My covers are white. I can't say if colors will run or react strangely to water. Sorry. by D S 1/20/2012
ANSWER: We have washed our slipped covered couch a couple times over the past three years. Having three daugther's and three cats tend to need a refreshing occasionally. No problems washing, we have a front loader machine, we prefer a "scent-free" detergent. Wash in cold water, with an extra rinse, and use dryer at a low setting, only with warm air. Found best to never completly dry by machine, best to leave slightly damp. Easier to refit onto to furniture couch, chair or ottoman. Do not wash during periods of humid weather. Leaving damp, will make it easier to work with and will dry with virtually no wrinkles. Frankly looks virtually new again.

Lastly, we have purchased three chairs, one couch, one and half chair, and one ottoman; over the past couple years. All our slipcovered, all have been washed at least once to a few times. Reccomend to all our friends due to the great quality, good service, selection, price savings at Club Furniture. Good luck! by K O 1/20/2012
QUESTION: what is better option...down or standard cushions? by None N 4/18/2011
ANSWER: I went for down. They have retained their loft very well... by L I 4/19/2011
ANSWER: When I bought my sofa, the down cushions were a free upgrade, so we took it. I have a husband who loves to lounge every day after work and two dogs who sit like cats on top of the sofa cushions. I was concerned that the pillows would start to look misshapen quickly, but so far ~2 1/2 months later, this hasn't happened. I love this sofa and am so glad that we went with this! by ERIN M 4/19/2011
ANSWER: I like the down but I have not sat on a standard custion by B F 4/19/2011
QUESTION: Is this sofa as comfortable as it looks and can you wash the slipcovers? by None N 1/13/2011
ANSWER: This sofa is awesome! Its comfortable and the cushions are excellent. I have no doubt that I will never have to worry about the cushions wearing out or getting saggy. I plan on having this sofa for a very long time! I love it! I actually got two sets of slip covers. Its like having two different sofas! I change it with the seasons. But pay attention, depending on what kind of fabric you choose, it may NOT be machine washable. I bought a microfiber slipcover and that must be drycleaned and depending on what you spill and whether or not its blotted up right away, the stain may not come out. But it def is beautiful, I get so many complements. The other cover I got I think was a twill fabric in a almost white color. It can be washed and its so durable and believe it or not, most dirt just brushes right off!! You wouldnt think it, but its true. So go for it! You will not get a couch this great at this price anywhere else, trust me, I looked everywhere! by J L 1/27/2011
ANSWER: This sofa is so comfortable. It still looks pretty great. Our only complaint is about the back cushions. They have gotten somewhat misshaped from leaning against them. We will probably have to restuff them. We have the canvas material in avacodo. It has prettymuch maintained its color over the years with 3 kids and a cat. I would definitely recommend this sofa! by P A 1/16/2011
ANSWER: I think it's very comfy, the only thing is the back cushions collapse when people sit down and put there arm on them, so you have to constantly re-shape and fluff them. As for the slipcovers, there are a couple of options that are washable, most are dry clean only. by S I 1/13/2011
ANSWER: Yes our whole family agrees the Sofa is very comfortable. Either to watch TV, read a book or take a nap. We are a family of five with three daugthers age, 21, 19 & 13.

We reccomend spot cleaning with a wet wash cloth whenever possible, takes care of the majority of spills, etc. Every so often we have washed in our frontloading machine, with no problems. Reccomend do not completely dry the cover, leave a bit damp, easier to place on coach. It will dry quickly and look like new again. Bought our's in December 2009, washed three times and still looks new and get compliments often. Good luck. by K O 1/13/2011
ANSWER: Yes to both. I LOVE it. Have only washed the footstool slipcover so far. Put it back on damp. worked great! by L I 1/13/2011

Additional Information

Our large Charleston slipcovered sofa gives new meaning to the term "deep seated." Only you'll find yourself without a care in the world as you nestle into the wide expanse of this "grand scale" couch. Though capacious in size, the roll-arm and fabric slipcover strike just the right note of well-worn comfort and ease, with an updated modern aesthetic. The full-skirted bottom adds to Charleston's charm, sweet-talking you into sitting down to sip a cold iced tea when the weather is fine. Heck, pile on the friends and family. The two- or three-cushion configuration, your choice, can support any number of people with our "no sag" springs. A plush down-feather seat option is also available. Seams are serged with an overlock stitch for extra durability, and the frame is made of kiln-dried hardwood. Should you need to clean the Charleston, the zippered slipcovers are fully removable. The fabric is of your own choosing from a selection of 100 premium upholstery swatches. Wouldn't it look dandy in linen? But you have a choice of every kind of upholstery from velvet to microfiber. Hand-crafted in North Carolina, the Charleston is one sofa large enough that you might designate a new Zip code and call it "home."
