QUESTION: How far out from the wall must this chair be placed? by None N 1/23/2012
STAFF ANSWER: You'll need about 18" of space behind the Jackson tufted leather recliner in order to fully recline. by Jeffrey K 1/24/2012
QUESTION: Is it comfortable? by None N 1/18/2012
ANSWER: Its the best chair I ever owned! I'm 6'3" 260 lbs and have fell asleep a few times! No really a great chair made well. by S M 2/3/2012
ANSWER: yes, very! We've had it for over 3 years, use it constantly. still in great shape. When my husband had a back problem recently he even slept in it all night for a week or so. by C H 2/3/2012
ANSWER: Super Comfy. We've had the chair for almost 5 years and it just keeps getting better with time! It's a little stiff at first, but my husband loves it and we only get to sneak a turn in it when he's not home!! Great buy. by K E 2/2/2012
ANSWER: I think it is a very comfortable chair. It reclines back very easy, but sometimes too easy. Personally I'd prefer it to have a handle to release to recline, but overall it's a great chair. Makes you want to curl up and take a nap sometimes. by Brad C 1/21/2012
ANSWER: Very comfortable. You will not be disappointed! by Wendy B 1/19/2012
QUESTION: Is this a "wall hugger" chair and is it power operated? by None N 1/2/2012
ANSWER: I bought the chair about 3 years ago and have really enjoyed it. I don't know what your mean by "wall hugger". It is not power operated and you need to have a little room behind the chair for it to back up. If you go to restoration hardware, they basically have the exact same chair for 3x the price and you can test it there. Hope that helps. by D R 1/4/2012
ANSWER: I'm not sure what 'wall hugger' means, but if it means that you can put the chair close to the wall and it slides forward as it reclines--then, no. You have to give it enough space to recline. It is not power operated. by S I 1/3/2012
ANSWER: It isn't a wall hugger model. You do need clearance away from a wall to recline. It is not power-operated. It is beautiful. by L A 1/3/2012
ANSWER: No to both - very nice chair though. I've had mine for about 1 1/2 years and it is still in great shape! A comparable chair is the "Buster Chair" recliner version found online with Restoration Hardware except you will pay about ,500.00 more for the Restoration Hardware version... same quality and workmanship on both. by D W 1/3/2012
ANSWER: If you mean that it can sit up against a wall and recline, then no. We have it is area that has open space behind it.
Is a manual recliner ~ you sit in it and push back. It moves easily and we are very happy with the chair. We've had it for several years and it still looks great. I would definitely use Club Furniture again. by K E 1/3/2012
ANSWER: I purchased two of these recliners a few years ago. They are not wall hugging, nor are they power operated. The foot rest goes up as you push on the arms of the chair. by A C 1/3/2012
ANSWER: If by "wall hugger" you mean if you put it up against a wall and recline it will it not project backwards and hit the wall then the answer is no. The back project about one foot when partially reclined and about 2 feet when fully reclined. It is not power operated. We've had this chair for about 3 years now and it's holding up well. Still love it. by C H 1/3/2012
ANSWER: not a wall hugger and not power operated. by M E 1/3/2012
STAFF ANSWER: Sorry, none of our leather recliners are "wall hugger" type recliners nor are any of them power operated. All our push back no levers or buttons to push leather reclining chairs require approx. 18" of space behind the chair to fully recline. by Jeffrey K 1/3/2012
QUESTION: Do you have stores in California Can I receive chair by christmas if I place order immidately? by None N 11/15/2011
STAFF ANSWER: Sorry, we don't have physical showrooms anywhere in the country. We also custom build all our leather and fabric upholstered furniture and lead times average 6-8 weeks. You may want to call in and speak with Darrin at ext. 201 to see if he has any of these recliners available due to order cancellations etc. by Jeffrey K 11/16/2011
QUESTION: I'm looking for a recliner that supports your head without tilting it forward or back.
I sat in a Lazyboy with the same look as the Jackson recliner. The head support was great, but I didn't like the overall look of the bottom of the chair.
Can anyone out there with the Jackson tell me about how their chair is when it comes to neck and head support Thanks in advance. by None N 2/12/2011
ANSWER: We've had the chair for a couple of years and true to Club Furniture's word, it's improved with age! My husband falls asleep in this chair nearly every evening..... He's never complained about the lack of head or neck support. Come to think of it, he's never complained about the chair at all. We bought the chair cuz we were looking at the Buster Chair from a store that will remain nameless.... but just couldn't rationalize the price. This chair has a similar look for a fraction of the price! Also, club furniture was a great on-line option and the requrired that I receive a swatch of the leather in the mail to confirm it was what we wanted before they would place the order. We are so thankful for that step cuz what we were SURE we wanted turned out to not be look like we thought it looked on line and then we were able to get exactly the color of leather we wanted!
Sincerely,
Very Satisfied. by K E 2/25/2011
ANSWER: The head support is good, but dont expect it to be soft. The tufted leather is not like a pillow. It is a tightly pulled leather that has little give. Your head should stay relativly staight when you lean back, but there is no neck support due to the overall design of the chair. by T R 2/15/2011
ANSWER: I'm 6'3" tall and this chair supports my head and neck just fine when its in the down position, I might need to lean back a couple inches. My wife is 5'6" and her head remains straight when she is in the upright position. This is a well made quality chair and I have not found one thing I do not like. by S M 2/14/2011
ANSWER: I have 4 of these chairs in my library and have been very happy with them. I am short 5'5" and they fit me well. In a sitting or partially reclined position the back does not support my head unless I tilt my head back. However in a fully or nearly fully reclined position the head support is excellent with neither a forward or backward tilt. by M A 2/14/2011
ANSWER: We have had this recliner for about 1 year and have found it to be very comfortable, whether sitting in an upright or a reclined position. I recommend it highly. by M Y 2/13/2011
ANSWER: We've had the chair over a year now, it is the best recliner we have evern invested in. My husband is 6'3" tall and fits very comfortably in the chair, I am 5'2" and so do I! His head sits comfortably on the top of the chair, it is a very sturdy chair with beautiful leather.
I'd recommend it highly. by R E 2/12/2011
ANSWER: We've had this recliner for about 2 years. We don't have any special head/neck support needs but find this chair's support is fine. It doesn't tilt my head forward or back but keeps it in alignment whether in the upright or reclined position. I will say the back of the chair is a bit croocked, kind of like in the photo. Other than that we like it. by C H 2/12/2011
QUESTION: I'd appreciate hearing from someone who has had this a while how well it's been holding up. I'm thinking of getting one, but I've had bad experiences with other brands in the past with the recliner mechanism not wearing well. Thanks! by George E 12/1/2010
STAFF ANSWER: Thanks, DW. Much appreciated! by George E 12/2/2010
ANSWER: Mechanism is stiff but I suspect will loosen up a bit with more use had the chair for a little over a month now.... The same is true with the seat cushion - rather firm but will probably give more with continued use. The chair looks much more appealing in front of me than what is portrayed in photos - have been very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the product so far! by D W 12/2/2010
